Kittens, explosions and other craziness combined in one game, Exploding Kittens is a wildly popular card game released by Exploding Kittens Inc. in 2015. Wanted 5 Games got the chance to create a digital version of this game in close cooperation with Dutch VR/AR specialist Forcefield (Later: Vertigo Games).

This was a perfect project for the Wanted team, because they were already a fan of the card game before this project. Exploding Kittens is a 5-player card game where the goal is simple: Don't draw an Exploding Kitten. Players take turn drawing cards, these cards help them to avoid drawing an Exploding Kitten. And when you can't help drawing a Kitten, only the defuse can save you from your demise.

The Wanted 5 Games version of the Exploding kittens game is playable on Messenger Rooms, a video chat platform released by Facebook in 2020. While video chatting, the participants of the call can start playing a game together, including Exploding Kittens. Because of this, the game was designed with the social aspect of the platform in mind. Every aspect of the game should feel as if you're really playing the card game together.
